Red wine from Japan — Niigata, Japan
三光(鶴月桜) Rouge 2024(赤)
CARVEDOZZI winery / Niigata, Japan

About this wine
From the CARVEDOZZI winery in Niigata, SANKO Rouge 2024 (Red) is a dry, medium-bodied Japanese wine from the 2024 vintage, part of the winery's Hanafuda series.
This wine employs a red-white blend method, where the juice of the white grape Kerner is added partway through fermentation to the red grapes Merlot and Petit Verdot. It is fermented using natural yeast, with gentle pigeage every other day for 11 days, followed by 8 months of aging in old barrels. The alcohol content is 13.5% and the volume is 750ml.
This bottle embodies a unique design philosophy by integrating the juices and skins of different grape varieties from the fermentation stage. Experience a finish that reflects the terroir of the region and the winemaker's approach, born from meticulous crafting processes.
