Sparkling wine from Japan — Kyoto, Japan
TEGUMI Shiro
TANBA wine / Kyoto, Japan

About this wine
Instead of 'a beer to start,' why not a glass of wine? TEGUMI Shiro was born from this idea, a bottle that captures the natural effervescence by bottling it mid-fermentation. Made with domestic grapes, without any antioxidants or filtration, this lightly sparkling white wine with 10% alcohol is bottled fresh.
The name 'TEGUMI' comes from the fact that the first vintage was bottled by hand, one by one, from the tank. As the name suggests, it is finished by retaining the carbon dioxide gas produced by the yeast within the bottle. The bubbly pattern on the label is inspired by the bubbles in the fermentation tank and in glasses, and the ladle motif also connects to the hand-bottling process of that time.
Don't reserve bubbles for special toasts; open this wine casually to begin your meal. Knowing the philosophy behind it, proposed by TANBA wine, this 750ml dry wine naturally blends into your everyday dining table as an option to replace your usual first drink.
