About this wine

From the 2022 harvest at TASAKI vineyard, a journey to international acclaim. TASAKI vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is the first Japanese Sauvignon Blanc to achieve a Grand Gold at Vinalies Internationales. This dry white wine, with an alcohol content of 12.5%, is crafted from grapes cultivated by Masanobu Tasaki at the TASAKI vineyard in Yoichi Town, using carefully selected, soundly ripened fruit after destemming.

An objective reason to specifically highlight the 2022 vintage lies in its performance at the same competition in 2025. Awarded a Grand Gold with 94 points, it marked the first time a Sauvignon Blanc grown in Japan, and also a wine from Hokkaido, received this prestigious honor. This is a record of its recognition worldwide as a rich, dry wine possessing aromatic varietal notes and a firm acidity.

Beyond the award itself, the journey takes us back to the vineyard of our contract farmer in Yoichi, Masanobu Tasaki, to the year 2022, and to the selection of ripened fruit. When you want to know about Hokkaido Sauvignon Blanc by grower, this 750ml bottle offers a clear point of reference.
