Red wine from Japan — Yamanashi, Japan
SOUGON 2020 (Red)
SHION JYOZO / Yamanashi, Japan

About this wine
SOGON 2020 from SHION JYOZO, crafted in Yamanashi Prefecture, is a full-bodied dry red wine. It features Merlot from Fuefuki City, alongside Merlot, Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in their own managed vineyard in Makio Town. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, it is aged for 13 months in barrels, with a small blend of 2018 Muscat Bailey A before bottling.
With an alcohol content of 13% and a 750ml volume, opening the bottle reveals soft yet present tannins and a rich umami, leading to a mellow finish.
We invite you to savor this unique bottle, a blend of grapes cultivated in different locations and elements from various vintages.
