Red wine from Japan — Shizuoka, Japan
SHIZEN AKAFUJI Reserve 2022 (Red)
FUJISAN winery / Shizuoka, Japan

About this wine
The commemorative red wine SHIZEN AKAFUJI Reserve 2022, the first ever crafted by FUJISAN winery, is a first vintage with a limited total production of only 500 bottles. Drawing on knowledge from their vineyards at different altitudes, they have pursued a unique winemaking approach, blending Muscat Bailey A and Merlot, and fermenting solely with wild yeast, eschewing the common malolactic fermentation for red wines.
It is characterized by a vibrant and fruity aroma derived from Muscat Bailey A, beautifully harmonized with the smooth tannins, refreshing acidity, and subtle herbal notes of Merlot. This red wine truly embodies balance, elegance, and a commitment to authentic winemaking, allowing you to discover its undeniable charm.
Why not savor this 11% alcohol, 750ml bottle at your own pace? You can spend a luxurious moment reflecting on the full scope of the winery's inaugural release and the deep-rooted commitment to its origin in Shizuoka Prefecture.
