About this wine

Kai Noir, born in Yamanashi, cultivated in our own vineyards, and aged in barrels. IWASAKI brewery presents "Château HONJO Kai Noir Yuki wo Tomo ni Shite 2021", a medium-bodied red wine made from a wine grape variety developed in Yamanashi, grown in our own vineyards, fermented, and then aged in barrels. It has an alcohol content of 12.5%, a volume of 720ml, and is finished in a dry style.

The significance of choosing this bottle goes beyond simply being a Yamanashi red. It lies in the consistent process from the developed grape variety itself, from our own vineyards to barrel aging, all handled in-house. The distinct character of Kai Noir, a variety with rich body and firm acidity that allows you to taste the Yamanashi terroir, is captured directly in the bottle through the winemaker's craft.

On quiet nights for savoring red wine or evenings with meat dishes, time flows gently as you tilt your glass. Explore the option of Kai Noir, distinct from Merlot or Muscat Bailey A, along with the barrel aging of the 2021 vintage. This is a bottle you'll want to keep on hand, as it will quietly settle onto your evening table.
