About this wine

On a night you want to toast, reach for the HONJŌ Iwai Sparkling KŌSHU (white sparkling) from Yamanashi Prefecture's IWASAKI brewery. This white wine is a blend of two types of wine: a base wine featuring the refreshing aroma of Japanese citrus and crisp acidity from early-harvested Kōshu grapes, and a supplementary blended wine with the aroma of apple honey and pleasant bitterness from late-ripened Kōshu grapes that underwent maceration and fermentation.

This is a cloudy style sparkling wine, finished with a friendly taste and pleasant texture by undergoing malolactic fermentation and secondary fermentation in the bottle (Champagne method), intentionally leaving the lees. It is aged for 6 months sur lie, with no disgorgement, and crafted as a dry, medium-bodied wine with 3 atmospheres of pressure, 12.5% alcohol, and a 750ml volume.

At a home party, place this 750ml bottle in front of you and quietly begin to imagine the facts behind its production method and blend. You might feel, 'This might be the one I'm meant to drink.'
