Red wine from Japan — Hiroshima, Japan
TOMOE MUSCAT BAILEY A YANAGI vineyard 2023 (Red)
HIROSHIMA MIYOSHI winery / Hiroshima, Japan

About this wine
This 2023 vintage from HIROSHIMA MIYOSHI winery is crafted exclusively from Muscat Bailey A grapes harvested from a specific vineyard managed by Mr. Yanagi, a contract farmer in Miyoshi City. It's made using the carbonic maceration method, where grapes are placed directly into stainless steel tanks without crushing. As part of the Single Vineyard series, which highlights the connection between a specific producer and their land, this bottle captures the climatic record of 2023.
By employing a unique winemaking technique, also used for Beaujolais Nouveau, the winery has focused on bringing out the inherent character of the grapes. This is a highly limited cuvée, made solely from grapes grown with great care in a single plot by a dedicated producer, directly capturing the conditions of that particular year.
Characterized by its vibrant color and rich fruit aroma, it boasts a strong strawberry-like scent, yet offers a refreshing mouthfeel and satisfying body, presenting as a light-bodied dry red wine. In a 750ml bottle with 11.5% alcohol, it's perfect for quietly reflecting on the end of your day.
