About this wine

Rocco Rouge OCS 2025 is a 2025 vintage red wine from Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture, crafted by BUDŌSHOKU estate. It's a blend of 7 destemmed grape varietals: Yamas Sauvignon, Tannat, Syrah, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Fermented in resin tanks, it was then infused with oak chips for about two weeks before being bottled unfiltered, with only racking.

This is a clear, bright, and slightly deep ruby red still wine. It features aromas of red fruits like wild strawberry and cranberry, with a subtle hint of oak. With an alcohol content of 10.5% and a volume of 750ml, it offers an easy-drinking, light taste profile due to its moderate acidity, gentle tannins, and lower alcohol content.

Why not place this bottle on your table for a quiet evening, without needing any special occasion? Consider this wine as an option for your downtime, imagining the process of infusing oak chips for about two weeks and the background of being bottled unfiltered with only racking, as you open this light red wine in your hand.
