Shinshu no KOSHU 2020 (White)

Shinshu no KOSHU 2020 (White) is a dry white wine with 12% alcohol, crafted by Norano farm & winery, based in Nagano Prefecture. Made with 100% grapes harvested from their own vineyards managed by the producer, this wine is crafted to reflect the climate of the Chubu region. Please note that as the winery name has been renewed from "Hasumi Farm" to "Norano farm & winery", the label for this vintage retains the former name.

The most distinctive feature is the deliberate choice of Koshu grapes, which have few cultivation examples within Nagano Prefecture. These grapes are grown for wine production in their own high-altitude vineyards, differing from those in Yamanashi Prefecture. The cool climate, resulting from the altitude difference, creates a solid acidity, building a complex and rich flavor within the clean dryness characteristic of Koshu.

This is a wine for when you want to experience Koshu from their own farm, where the producer's intention is consistent from cultivation to winemaking, or when you are looking for a Japanese wine with acidity and structure unique to high-altitude regions.
