About this wine

When you glance at your dinner table, what you see isn't just a bottle, but a message delivered from a single place: Takayama Village in Nagano Prefecture. The red wine, MURAYORI 2023, crafted by SHINSHU TAKAYAMA winery, uses grapes harvested entirely within Takayama Village, yet deliberately omits the grape varietal from its label. Born from the desire for you to enjoy the wine holistically, without preconceptions, this bottle is quietly named not with a varietal marker, but with a name that blends two meanings: 'from the region' and 'village news.'

This dry, light-bodied red wine has an alcohol content of 13% and a volume of 750ml. It was created so you can gently perceive the unique character that the annual variations in climate and the geographical features of Takayama Village bring to the wine. Because it doesn't carry varietal information, we are naturally drawn to the expression of the land where these grapes grew and its individuality, as we engage with the liquid before us.

Instead of just a beverage, place this 'Murayori' on your table for an evening spent reflecting on the lives of people in a distant village. A time awaits you where you can quietly receive the individuality and message that the climate and nature of a single village have reflected in that year's wine, rather than chasing after familiar names.
